Travelling to Taiwan was such an amazing opportunity! It was incredible to experience a new culture especially when it is so different from Canada! In Taiwan I was lucky enough to visit many farms and learn about local agriculture. I loved learning about my host family’s culture and we visited many beautiful temples. Touring vibrant night markets where I was able to experience Taiwanese food and culture at its richest was definitely a highlight of the exchange!
I also was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to attend a 4-H leadership camp; it was so much fun and very interesting to experience 4-H in another country. I met so many wonderful people while I was in Taiwan, their kindness and hospitality helped me to feel welcome and enjoy my exchange even more! Thank you 4-H Canada for the providing me this once in a life time experience!
